During my career in engineering I have worked in a wide range of industrial environments, this includes small volume production in the aerospace industry to high volume in the manufacture of white goods. These roles were principally associated with transferring product concepts through the design phase and developing an economical manufacturing structure to achieve the finish product. It included value analysis, estimating, production and manufacturing engineering, project management and developing facilities and automation assembly
Some of the products include stored energy, pressure vessels and cryogenic systems for the aerospace industry, and the development of production facilities for the manufacture and assemble of plastic and silicone rubber product for the Avent brand of baby feeding products. Each of these roles included close involvement of commercial aspects through purchasing and contract control.
The highlight of my career was the introduction of high value industrial automation and moving equipment in to the FMCG plastics manufacturing industry at Philips Avent as a Project Manager/Engineering Manager. All providing a wealth of experience poised to support future developments and demands as deemed necessary for a modern manufacturing factory.
